Our Program

Environments provided for children from approximately 12 months old to early childhood that focus on developing movement, language, and independence within a social context.

Our community is a joyful environment and  AMI trained Montessori guide with experienced assistants. Each day is filled with wonder and learning. The community provides children with the support and tools they need to continue their growth in independence. Younger children look to older ones and older children find joy in helping the younger ones. Whether learning a new word, spreading cheese on crackers, painting a picture, or using the toilet, all the children gain great self-esteem in their accomplishments. The adults carefully guide the children through group and individual lessons, allowing the children to explore their interests and supporting them through challenges.

Core areas of infant community

Language Development

The Montessori classroom is a language-rich environment, where language skills are developed through conversation, storytelling, reading, singing, and nomenclature cards.

Independence Learning

Practical life is an area of particular emphasis for toddler-aged children, as they are the skills that children need to develop to care for themselves, their environment, and their community. Broken out into control of movement and grace and courtesy, practical life activities are simple and can be accomplished by each child, our teachers support these growing skills with activities such as putting on/taking off shoes, washing hands, watering plants, feeding the fish, and preparing and serving snacks.

Social Development

Children learn to function within a community, and learn turn taking, respect for others, and conflict resolution, with their independence encouraged by teachers.

Sensorial Exploration

Sensorial exploration is a method of teaching toddlers to understand the world around them through their senses.
